Art UbUD day 2
As i woke up from an excellent sleep, I quickly took a shower and went to breakfast.l The breakfast was nice , but there could have been more variety in cuisine . My favorite dish from the buffet was the pancakes because it had an excellent taste.
After breakfast, we were on our way to a ceramic workshop. To be honest I have really much bad luck in spoiling my ceramic pieces ,so his time I tried to stay in the positive side. When we reached the place, we met a kind hearted lady called Susan because she was our instructor for the class on ceramics. She taught us how to make bizarre looking masks which was really fun to make . MY mask turn out well , I definitely did not expect it to turn out well in fact. After our first piece, she makes us take turns on the pottery wheel where we can make delicate ceramic pots. When it was my turn , It was my second time to use a pottery wheel and in fact I thought mines turned out as one of the best. I was really proud of my work which I did in the ceramic workshops.
After this wonder full part of the day, we went for lunch at a local restaurant which was not bad but quite filling. The banana fritters I ordered were amazing especially mixing it with ice cream and chocolate syrup. After lunch we went to the market to mark on our sketching piece for the day. The piece could be anything involved with a market. I decided to draw a boomerang which I bought because it had exquisite detail, which helped me make a marvelous piece. Besides sketching , I bought really cool things at the market especially the boomerang.
After the drama we had fun with in the market, we went back to the hotel to perfect our drawings. I sat alone in my room as my friend went to play cards with my peers. While i was in my room , I had a sufficient time to perfect my piece. In the end it turned out to be a wonderful piece as i kind of expected.
oUr adoring relaxing time was over , we were on board to a place called cafe lotus. It was a really nice place and it was humongous for a restaurant like that to be placed there. I had " ayam sisit" which was shredded chicken mixd in gravy with rice. It was an average meal but it is good to try something new everytime.
After a nice dinner at cafe lotus, we went back to the hotel . By then all of us were half asleep after a long tired , but awesome day. As i was covered with the sheets of balnket, iknew something fun will await for me tomorrow.

DAY 1 art ubud.
Day 1 of art ubud.
As I was on my way to school, I was excited for this trip because I am an individual who likes art but is not as experienced as everybody else . When i reached school, I hopped out of my car and I easily found my esp group. After our teachers gave us a head count, we went strait to the bus where we are on our way to start a wonderful esp.
We reached the airport and as we were checking in , we found out also that the 7th graders of jis are in the same flight. MY thoughts were that it was going to be one atrocious flight. As the plane took off Jakarta, I was right the 7th graders went crazy. That was honestly the worst flight experience , I have ever had in my life. The were everywhere and they were yelling like crowds in concerts. As we landed we quickly took our luggages and made our way to the pacto travel buses. Our first stop, was a "padi prada"( restaurant). Absolutly wonderful dishes, I had the chicken meal and it was fantastic, and the satay was brilliant. As we all finished our exquisite dishes, we were on our way to the highlight of the afternoon.
"KUPU KUPU", a palce where disabled individuals where taught how to paint. As I walked in to the place, I was shocked that these children were living in pain and yet they make good artwork. If i were disabled, I swear that I am no were close to making paintings like theirs. I was espically pleased to interact with these unfortunate world citizens because whatever happened to them they did not deserve it.
After the highlight of the day, we checked in to a magnificent hotel called " tjampuhan", The accomadation maybe had no televisons , but beautiful furniture. We went for a wlk around the hotel and it was something new to me because I have never been to a hotel so much involved with art, so I was really pleased.
We all had our time in the hotel and now it was time for dinner. Dinner in a place called " three monkeys". I thought the food was average , but the desert was fantastic. Fo desert, I had sorbet and i love sorbet because it is really sour compared to other deserts .
After dinner , it was bedtime. I thought i had wonderful day and a brilliant start to an interesting esp.

CREATIVE INDIVIDUALS
....curious, adaptable and self-directed positive learners.
SURREALISM
Physical response:
Include a quick sketch/photo of your work.
Explain the process of creating the art work. Literally how you did your art work.
We had to think of something that do not relate with each other , but somehow connects. I decided to put a picture of a ball and different kinds of features which would spoil the ball. For me that would represent In today’s world of football in which the game is being damaged by hooliganism
Did you learn a skill? Yes, I learnt how to draw things which do not relate , but somehow connects. This project made me expand my ideas and make them more broad .
Emotional Response:
How did you feel while you were working on this assignment? I felt confident, but I had some time to think. The final look of the painting was not what I was expecting , but I though it was ok .
Did you feel you were a problem solver at any level? Yes, I though I was a problem solver at some point, I decided to add crutches to the ball, so people can see the ball itself is already suffering from all the pain.
Did you feel that it increased your observation? Yes, this project thought to increase my thoughts and make them more broad.
Did you further develop your ideas? Yes, I certainly developed my ideas by putting things that do not relate to a soccer ball, like fire, rpg’s,and knives.
Were you satisfied with the final results? Not what I expected , but I thought that I could improve on certain skills.
Self Assessment and reflection:
What did you learn doing this assignment? I learned how to draw objects which do not relate but can connect in many ways.
Are you able to make connections/analogy with other subjects or real life situations? The big picture connections. Yes, my painting represents the ongoing trouble which soccer has over hooligans. Hooligans are spoiling this beautiful game.
