What is surrealism? Who was Dali?


Who was salvadore dali? He a painter in the 19th century. He was known as the crazy painter because he made othe most bizzare paintings. His bizarre painting were known as surrealistic paintings,surrealism is a style of art in which shows the stress of conflict through a painting.

SURREALISM

Physical response:

Explain the process of creating the art work. Literally how you did your art work.
We had to think of something that do not relate with each other , but somehow connects. I decided to put a picture of a ball and different kinds of features which would spoil the ball. For me that would represent In today’s world of football in which the game is being damaged by hooliganism

Did you learn a skill? Yes, I learnt how to draw things which do not relate , but somehow connects. This project made me expand my ideas and make them more broad .

Emotional Response:
How did you feel while you were working on this assignment? I felt confident, but I had some time to think. The final look of the painting was not what I was expecting , but I though it was ok .

Did you feel you were a problem solver at any level? Yes, I though I was a problem solver at some point, I decided to add crutches to the ball, so people can see the ball itself is already suffering from all the pain.

Did you feel that it increased your observation? Yes, this project thought to increase my thoughts and make them more broad.


Did you further develop your ideas? Yes, I certainly developed my ideas by putting things that do not relate to a soccer ball, like fire,rpg’s,and knives.

Were you satisfied with the final results? Not what I expected , but I thought that I could improve on certain skills.

What did you learn doing this assignment? I learned how to draw objects which do not relate but can connect in many ways.

Are you able to make connections/analogy with other subjects or real life situations? The big picture connections. Yes, my painting represents the ongoing trouble which soccer has over hooligans. Hooligans are spoiling this beautiful game.

· Explain the process of creating the art work. Literally how you did your art work. We were suppose to make a painting on conflict and how it affects the world today. So I made a painting that represents that the world is in trouble. So I mixed blue and white to represent freezing and red and orange to represent burning. And the blue and green mixture represents earth.

· Did you learn a skill? Yes I learnt how to mix colours

I did not feel as confident as usual, I had a little trouble making this painting.

Yes, I finally had a final copy of mypainting after numerous attemtps , that was an experience that I will take, but it also taught me different ways you can express conflict

Yes , since i had to mines alot of times I exxplored many ways to represent many conflicts.

Yes , i learnt how to represent a conflict through painting in many ways.

All we had to do wwas to make a wheel with some specific colors. I made a shape of pyramid and i painted it with certain colors.

I missed a day of school during this session, so I had to think of a quick resolution

It was my fist day, Ms bammi taught us hoo use a diffrent pencils. then she told us that we had to make a patterned drawing wit the pencils.

I learned how to use different types of pencils

I felt that this was an easy assignment.

No , becuase this was the first project , wo the whole time I knew what iw as doing.

It increased my observation on how to use different pencils.

· no , because this drawing to me was just a sketch of patterns which I though it did not need any much thinking.

Still like drawing

This sketch has a picture of a beaker and a bottle . In this project you have to draw what you are seeing but not what you are knowing. I had to shade in the parts which had a white reflection and once I was done with that, right next to the shade white reflections we has to shade in the parts with a black pencil. This painting influenced alot in the ying-yang theory.

  • First , I had to draw I was seeing.



  • Second, Once I was done with the drawing then Ihad to shade the white parts I saw in the bottle/beaker.



  • Third, Right next to the white shade , we had to mix it with a black pencil.



  • Fourth,mix the black an white wit the shading pencil.



  • fifth-, I was done wit the pictures , now is just had to do a background.


  • I am done with my still like drawing.









Did you learn a skill? Yes, i learnt how to use differnt sorts of pencils with many different ways.

No, because I thought this was not a tough project like the other ones. So it was not htat hard to expand my ideas.

No, because in this assignment I did not have to increase my ideas and make them more broad

Yes , I developed my ideas by incrasing my skill on shading.

Yes, because I learnt new skills like learning how to shade.
